Who we are

The EMB Project (theembproject.com) is a website for young people aged 13+, open to anyone anywhere. Draft — awaiting legal review before launch.

What we collect

An anonymous EMB name, an avatar choice, a password (stored securely, never readable), an optional age band, and settings like Night or Day mode. We don't ask for your real name, email, phone, school or address.

Your private content

One More Things, memories, photos, My Starry Night stars, your toolkit, saved items and 1% history are private to your account. Photos are stored privately and location details are removed where practical.

Account recovery

Instead of an email, you get a recovery code. We only store a scrambled version of it, so we can check it but can't read it.

Account support

Support chat messages are kept so the team can help, and can be read only by support staff.

Community submissions

Ideas you suggest are reviewed by a moderator. Published ideas never show your EMB name or avatar. If you delete your account, approved ideas may stay, without any link to you.

Analytics

We count things like how many times a page was opened each day. These are totals only — no account IDs and no free text.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account in Settings. This removes your private content and photos.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with our cloud database and storage provider. Access is restricted by account and by staff role.

Limits

No website can promise total anonymity. Basic technical information, like your IP address, is used briefly to stop abuse.
