Safety
Safety & safeguarding
How EMB works, in plain language.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Go to Get HelpWhat EMB is
A youth wellbeing, education and signposting website for people aged 13 and over, open anywhere in the world.
What EMB isn't
EMB is not therapy, a medical or diagnostic service, an emergency service, or a social network. Nobody at EMB is watching your activity or can send help to you.
How community contributions work
People can suggest short positive ideas, like a 1% that helped them. Every suggestion is checked by automatic filters and then reviewed by a person before it can appear. Names, avatars and dates are never shown with them.
How account support works
If you're locked out, you can open an anonymous account-support chat. It's for account and technical help only, not counselling, and it's not monitored around the clock.
Reporting something
Every public community idea, guide and resource has a Report link. You don't need an account. A person reviews each report.
How urgent help works
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number — 999 in the UK, or the equivalent where you are. Get Help never needs an account. EMB can't contact emergency services for you.
Privacy principles
No real name, phone number, school or address is needed. Your private things — stars, memories, lists — are visible only to you.
